Monsoons are almost here and the rains are so lovely but the humidity can really mess up any sort of beauty routine and it also brings with it the “cannot wear in so much humidity” clothing restriction. But that’s definitely no excuse to dress shabbily.
You can keep yourself stylish even when it’s pouring outside. So It’s time to take out the cardigans, rain-boots and umbrellas out of the closet again. In my today’s post I am sharing few clothing and make up tips. Lets begin with clothing first.
Gals, its time to ditch your favorite denims and opt for cotton shorts or culottes instead. Soft cottons and lycra are the best fabric for this season as it dry quickly. To have a chic look you can layer your dresses with a stylish cardigan. Team your outfit with jelly sandals or funky flip-flops. They would really handy when you wanna make your way through those puddles. Hats can make a stylish addition to your monsoon outfit. And yes, avoid wearing whites. Here are few looks I have shortlisted for this season.
The simple combo of top and shorts works the best in monsoons. Pair your outfit with loafers or canvas shoes and a stylish sling bag.
A little black dress will become more edgy layering with waterproof jacket. Pair this look with the trendy rainy boots.
Culottes are highly in fashion these days. Combo of tee and culottes is really a comfy look. On top of it with this look you can avoid wet hemlines.:) This look is personally my favorite one.
Skin, Hair and Makeup
Monsoons come with high humidity and is truly a curse for those who have a oily skin :-(. But don’t worry, here are few things to take care during rainy season. Make sure to keep your skin dry with the good quality of compact powder. Try t \o avoid heavy foundations and concealers, not only they do look cakey but they also block pores. To keep a simple look just put a nude shade on your pout and kajal to enhance your eyes. And you are good to go with your makeup.
Don’t blow-dry your hair as it may make your hair frizzy and dry. Invest in a good hair serum to keep the clean look. And If you’re having a bad-hair day, just tie your hair locks in a knot and make a messy bun for a casual yet stylish look.
So, girls, hope you enjoy the looks and the makeup tips. Go and play in the rain. Happy Monsoon :-).
